You know me and numbers...

Today at my work placement I had a great task to do... if I were the Count from Sesame Street.

I had to photocopy a bunch of children's stories and poems from really old books, and then do a rough word count of every story. They were really long stories. It was pretty bad; when I was walking down the street for my break, I realized that I had been counting my steps from the door. Around number 80.

Also, I read a manuscript today, and I don't know what is sadder or more depressing: a) that he put all the lyrics for a song from Ernest Goes to Camp in it, or b) that as I was reading it, I thought, "Hey! This is a song from Ernest Goes to Camp!"

*hits head on table repeatedly*

It was a sad time. And if I were like rainman at least I'd be good at some kind of counting. I had to start over on a page a few times. Maybe I'd be able to just look at a page and know how many words were on it. But this is just speculation.
